The boys from 30 Seconds to Mars has definatly a unique relationship with their audience! That night had an energy in the air! Kidz with glyphics and triangles was all over jumping, shouting and singing along with the band.
A band with Jared who is devouring and devoured on the top of the crowd [ literally they ripped his shirt -and yes, he was so damn hot without it- ], Shannon's huge and inventive percussion and Tomo's searing six-string, and songs that buzzed with dozens of imaginative effect and indomina table layers of vintage synths!
Right away after sunset the band launched with "Escape"
And the crowd screamed!
Then came a "Beautiful Lie" and an "Attack" ..."This Is War" and "100 Suns".
After the introducing the conversational chatter Leto made the gigantic venue feel welcoming and intimate and began "The Kill" solo, then Tomo and Shannon joined the song from their spots on stage, as jared jump and sing with the Greek flag on his shoulders.
More crowd screamed!
He tinkered with acoustic versions of "Hurricane" and "From Yesterday" though never fully completing the songs, preferring to banter with the crowd.
As to how the band end the amazing night, of course they invited everyone in the crowd on stage for the "Kings and Queens".
One of the most memorable -a truly epic- rock show I have ever been to. So proud to be an Echelon !
